Helnwein hat für mich in der Fotokunst-Geschichte einen Stellenwert der nicht hoch genug bewertet werden kann. Wo andere Foto-Künstler heute jedem Trend und
jeder Vorgabe -von teilweise selbsternannten Kunstkritikern, die oft nicht mal wissen wie man eine Kamera hält- hinterherlaufen um vielleicht Erfolg zu haben, hat Helnwein eine ganz außergewöhnliche Leistung vollbracht: eine derart eigenständige Kreativität zu entwickeln die ich für einzigartig und in dieser Ausdrucksstärke für einmalig halte.

Ich liebe es mir den Bildband immer und immer wieder anzuschauen. Es ist ausgezeichnet und so genial , das ich gar nicht weiß wie ich es beschreiben soll. Ich würde mich mal interessieren wann es Ausstellungen gibt ?!
Nicht nur die Motive sind absolut phänomenal , auch die Art zu zeichnen , fotografieren etc. gefällt mir wirklich sehr.
Einer meiner Lieblingskünstler , der in mir eine Mischung von Ekel und Begeisterung herbei ruft.

Mit 16 (jetzt 26) habe ich damals Helnwein entdeckt (in einem kleinen Bildband, der mir geschenkt wurde) und seitdem bin ich mehr als fasziniert.

Thank you for opening my eyes. It is not usual that one comes upon an artist as talented as Helnwein. A real priveledge to have someone able to see past the taint in todays society; a comfort.
